Veteran Vacation Counselor

By coming back a second calendar year, a vacation camp counselor earns the status "Veteran". The years do not have to be consecutive.  Rehire is based upon their previous performance review.

• Salary : €60 euros per day before taxes

Veteran Vacation counselors must:

• guide new staffers 
• bring new ideas for the camp program (games, lessons, songs, skits...)
• read and understand the current edition of the Employee Program Manual, and all employment documents, in order to correctly orient the team.

Head Language Counselor

A veteran vacation counselor who has a positive performance review and is highly responsible, organized and reliable can apply to accomplish the "mission" of Head Language Counselor during select sessions. 

• Salary : €70 euros per day before taxes

Head Language Counselors must :

• guide new staffers 
• bring new ideas for the camp program (games, lessons, songs, skits...)
• to organize and guide the other counselors in the Program, under the direction of the camp director. As such, s/he may lead meetings, oversee implementation, give constructive feedback, manage program materials, and organize required documents
• read and understand the current edition of the Employee Program Manual, and all employment documents, in order to correctly orient the team.

Camp Director

Many of our camp directors are previous camp counselors. Some were even campers at American Village! To be a director, you must be fluent in French, and have experience in French camps.
